Imagination Cures Stress

Posted on October 29, 2009. Filed under: Personal Development | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , |

ImaginationEver had that feeling that you wanted something so bad that you’re actually stressed out about it not happening? You’ve read a few books about the Law of Attraction and seen The Secret movie, so you follow the steps but can’t seem to figure out why you’re not getting any results.

You cannot bring what you want into your life if you are allowing stress to dominate your thoughts and feelings. Stress and tension of any kind has to be removed from your life if you are ever going to manifest or attract what you truly desire. You must let the stress go – sounds simple to say but another thing to do. Even though you desire something, the emotion of stress is strongly saying that you do NOT have what you want. Stress or tension is the absence of faith or belief. So how do we remove it?  We need to increase our faith or belief.

If we say “I want financial freedom” and keep repeating it the message we send out vibrationally is “I want wanting to be financially free” the focus is on the wanting. By making statements that cause our minds to ponder the good feelings of already having what we want we cause ourselves to start believing that it’s already here. For example, “I love the feeling of having so much abundance that I can pay all my bills in full” or “I feel awesome shopping with lots of cash in my wallet”.

Too often we over-focus on the wanting of something and so the Universe simply gives us more of that – wanting! By shifting to feelings and thoughts of already enjoying,  it creates more feelings of joy and excitement and that’s what we ultimately want from desiring things and experiences – the feelings of joy, happiness and peace of mind. So play the game – What If – by asking yourself – what if I had a million dollars? What if I was a highly famous actor? What if I found the cure for cancer? It causes the mind to seek out answers to these questions and it’s fun. Try it, you’ll be amazed at how fun it can be and how quickly your thoughts and feelings shift from stress to fun and joy. Our kids do it all the time and that innocence of feeling the fun of having it is priceless – we just call that imagination. They don’t need to be convinced or have proof they just imagine it the way they want it.

It’s okay to desire something and even ask for it but once you’ve asked for it with a sense of joy and anticipation release it and trust that the Universe is already in the process of lining up how it will happen. Then just bask in the good feelings of already having it. Imagine how fun it is driving that new car around town. Imagine how good it feels dropping a $20 bill in a charity box. Imagination can be the easiest key to manifesting your dreams and you’ll find stress no longer lives in your life.

Be Careful What You Wish For

Posted on October 22, 2009. Filed under: Personal Development, Views & Observations | Tags: , , , , , , |

By Phil Tanguay

wishingWe’ve heard it before, “be careful what you wish for, because you might just get it.” Perhaps it’s just a saying but in light of all that we are learning with the law of attraction, we need to really have a closer look.

All too often we hear people griping about not getting what they think about or focus on or wish for, but maybe they did get it and just don’t recognize it. Perhaps they got part of it but then complain it was not the color they asked for or the method in which it came about was odd or unfavorable. Who cares how you got it? You got it. Okay maybe it does matter but that just means you need to be more specific with what you desire.

I remember not too long ago wanting with all my heart to travel the world and visit distant lands. Soon after I found myself on a trip walking the quaint side streets of Rome, Italy. Then basking on the aqua blue beaches of Paradise Island in the Bahamas a few months later and countless other adventures. I found myself being grateful for the trips but also hearing that all too familiar voice in my head say, “yeah but you just paid for it, so what?” Well, I got exactly what I asked for, I never asked for it to be free or to be handed to me on a silver platter. The point is I got what I asked for, to travel and live adventurously. It was a blast and I am so grateful.

It’s a learning experience, it’s not like we missed the only chance we’ll ever get. We have a whole life and we can change it right now! All we have to do is be more clear and focus on what we really want. In fact make it seem so real in our imagination that it feels like it’s already here.

This is not some big plot to trick us into getting something else. When I was a kid I remember thinking if I found a magic lamp with a genie and he gave me three wishes I’d better be super careful because if I asked for a car, I’d get a matchbox toy car and if I asked for a million bucks, I’d get a herd of deer. But I see now how that was my own limitation, that I somehow believed I was unworthy to get what I truly wanted with no strings attached. Well the only string here is to be clear, not because you’ll get tricked but rather to ensure you know you’re getting exactly what you wished for.

We don’t have to know how we’re getting it. If I wish to be wealthy will it really matter how that happens? Get it from my business boom or an inheritance or a lottery ticket makes no difference to me, unless of course that is part of the fun, in which case all I need do is include it in my imagining of me getting it that way.

As long as it feels good when we are wishing for it and imagining then in all likelihood it will happen in a good way. The beauty is that our imaginations are limitless, use it wisely and stop to reflect on what you get, because you created it.

Leap of Faith

Posted on October 19, 2009. Filed under: Personal Development, Views & Observations | Tags: , , , , , , |

By Terry Carlucci

Leap-of-faith-jumpAsk yourself, have you ever really wanted to do something BIG, unreasonable to most, and totally out of this world crazy? Let’s take a moment to think about the answer to this question. What happens in your thought process? Do you start doubting first or do you start actually dreaming of it in your mind’s eye? In the past, I used to doubt it would happen at first, or think of all the reasons why the circumstances didn’t play in my favor. Eventually I believed completely, even without putting effort into dreaming of what it would be like to achieve it, that it would never happen. I asked myself, “what was the reason that the positive, achieving thoughts didn’t have much meat to them and that doubt was stronger”? What was missing to support my dreams, what ever they may be? We are missing the fundamental training we require to overcome the messages of “cannot” to messages of “can”. How would we train our minds to succeed in reaching each accomplishment we set out to achieve? We fill our minds with positive words, thoughts, by reading more uplifting books, and by continually correcting our thoughts and re-programming our belief system in our deepest minds.

It begins with the belief in ones own self! Following your passion, having fun thinking and dreaming of how your life would be like if you were following your passions. What are passions? These may differ for most, however I have found that it’s the dreams that bring up emotions; any and all happy ones. I cry when I think of being there for each of my kids’ accomplishments. The proud parent sitting watching their child’s goal being met because we have provided the ground work for positive self knowledge. Simply put, we never planted a seed of doubt in their minds, in fact we continually challenged them to reach for higher and more with the knowledge they can do it. We are the example to them because we walk the talk, and at times they are the teachers and we are the students. How fantastic for us to learn by their example.

Leap of Faith to me means having total belief in ones dreams and passions. Living your life as if you are living your full life potential right now-it’s in knowing that what ever you want for yourself you’ve already got it. I once heard someone say, “Taking a leap of faith is being scared but doing it anyway.” Knowing all that really matters is how you’re feeling when you take that leap. We are all different in our ways of dealing with challenges, and aren’t challenges mini leaps of faith. Each one tests your belief and your faith at the same time. How do you see each challenge in your life? Let’s face it – a life with out any adversity would be boring. Each of us requires the need to grow to meet either a challenge or reach a goal. In James Ray’s book “Harmonic Wealth” he states, ”You’re either growing or your dying”. I’d rather be growing, how about you?

So we are back to Belief or beliefs. How many of us challenge our beliefs? Do you ask yourself how you came to believe something when you hear yourself say it out loud, or even in your quiet times of thought? What do you think would happen if you did? I know, you’ve never asked yourself these types of questions or maybe you did but never really got to the point of giving it the time it deserves to challenge them. Yet, I know many people who do ask themselves the questions, and who have changed their beliefs to ones that they have come up with. I know I have over the last 6 months challenges quite a few of mine and still I know I have others that I need to journal about over a longer period of time. I look forward to the process of learning about me. Let’s face it; we spend a lot of time learning about others, how about giving yourself the time to find out who you are, what you are about and where you are going in your life as a being on this great planet. I challenge you to explore the greatness of yourself. After all it’s really about your life’s journey. Live it to the fullest in what ever way you find makes you happy waking up every morning to live it.

Leaves of Abundance Now

Posted on October 1, 2009. Filed under: Personal Development | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , |

Fall-RiverThere really is abundance all around us, sometimes we just need to slow down and appreciate it in the present moment. It seems that everyone is in a rush to get somewhere or get something done but why? Perhaps the real reason we’re here is to enjoy the journey, enjoy the now. More and more self-help and spiritual books are being written on the topic of happiness, gratitude and joy and they are far outselling fiction books these days. Books like “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle, “Happiness Now” by Robert Holden, “An Open Heart” by the Dalai Lama and countless others that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. That’s probably because with todays fast pace of life more and more people are missing the joy and fun in their lives and seek answers in such books. They certainly assisted me.

We’ve all heard the saying, “it’s not about arriving at the destination, it’s about the journey”. Yet why do we ignore this when it’s so true. Sure we all have goals to get things done or achieve milestones and that’s great to have direction, but if we totally ignore the path that we’re on to take us there we miss out on all the beautiful scenery. I took a recent road trip with my kids to visit another province because we’re moving and needed to scout houses, that was my purpose, but the journey was amazing. The Maritimes, where we currently live on the east coast, boasts some of the most beautiful autumn scenery. It also tends to change earlier than places more inland. Well as we hopped into our vehicle we immediately noticed all the gorgeous colors of the leaves. We played games on our ten-hour trip of pointing out all the striking yellows, oranges and fiery reds mixed in with the vibrant contrast of the green – it was breathtaking. Our journey took us through the Appalachian mountains where at some points we could see off into the distance an ocean of color for miles as the mountains were all painted with a patchwork of these awesome colors. We all felt such overwhelming gratitude and awe over this spectacle of nature.

The best part was that it seemed to go on for ever and ever miles and miles of color and new configurations to dazzle us. As I drove I pondered all the abundance in the world and I’d only seen a tiny fraction of it. Imagine how many intricately colored trees and even more painted leaves on these mountains, on our abundant planet. What even boggled my mind more was that these leaves continue to replenish themselves every season for millions of years. Now if that’s not abundance I don’t know what is.

We stopped several times to take pictures and just take it all in. Even my twelve and fifteen-year olds were captivated. I heard them telling their cousins all about it with such excitement when we finally did arrive. Everything happens in the now, even memories are always relived in the present moment, but if we rush through the now to get to that future point we never actually arrive and we become lost. I’ve discovered that the simplest and most basic secret of finding joy and inner peace is simply to stop and get present. Stop what you’re doing often and just pause, observe all that is around you. Don’t try to label things just appreciate the colors, shapes, trees, art, the sky, the sun, the stars. By taking it in and just watching and experiencing the simple pleasures our minds stop racing and we have time to feel our inner being at peace.

It really works, sure it may take some practice and reminding to do it, I’ve posted notes around my home to help with that. It is so rewarding and it’s not something that is outside of you but rather right inside you accessible at any present moment. Stop to smell the roses or even just the autumn air because now is forever changing.

What Was Your Childhood Dream?

Posted on June 30, 2009. Filed under: Personal Development, Views & Observations | Tags: , , , , , , , |

Ever thought back to when you were a kid and what you wanted to be when you grew up? What was your passion? Why didn’t you follow that dream?

Space-jet-ArtIt actually took me a while to remember it was that I wanted to be. After some soul searching I finally remembered that I wanted to be many things over a period of time. First I wanted to be an astronaut, then a pilot and eventually an artist – I loved drawing and creating things as a kid.

The question was, “What stopped me?” What stops any of us from following our dreams? I figure it’s because of our limiting beliefs and our excuses. Where do we get those? They come from our parents, our friends, our peers, our teachers… basically our environment and the people we surround ourselves with in life. It’s all how we’re programmed.

We hear or start believing things that conflict with where we want to go in life. Let’s face it we are all dreamers as kids but as we get older we’re told to “grow up”, “be more mature” or “that’s unrealistic, you can’t make a living doing that”. So, many of us abandon our dreams for more “practical” goals and aspirations.

Why didn’t I become an astronaut? Because Canada didn’t have a space program and I would never get into NASA in the United States so that was gone. Excuse number one. I couldn’t become a pilot because I was told pilot schools cost a fortune and were none where I lived so that too was ruled out. Excuse number two. I didn’t become an artist because I was told I could not make a living on it and I’d never make it. Excuse number three, I was out! So I went on to school without direction and took the first decent paying job that came along to pay the bills. Just what I always wanted to do, work in a call center, taking call after call with no end in sight.

I realize now that I have to take full responsibility for my not getting to where I wanted to go. I could have found ways around those obstacles. I didn’t have to take those peoples’ word for it, they weren’t experts. They likely just told me that because they too gave up on their own dreams. I could have persisted and followed my passion. We’ve all heard the dramatic tales of those who overcame not just one obstacle but many. In fact I’ve heard some stories of people with physical or even mental challenges overcome huge odds to follow their calling and are now the best in their field. So don’t buy the excuses, everyone can achieve anything they desire, it’s simply a matter of getting clear and following your dreams regardless of the obstacles. It’s those who find the ways around them that succeed.

The best part is that it’s never too late. I’ve rekindled my passion for art and am having a blast learning new techniques to create, including digital art on my computer; they weren’t around when I was a kid. I’m happier now more than I’ve ever been. I’m doing what I love and I am finding creative ways to incorporate my art into my business, which makes both that much more fun. When you love what you do you will be successful. Always follow your dream because like a great man once said, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” And that was said by one of the biggest dreamers ever – Walt Disney.

Goals Start With Decisons

Posted on July 8, 2009. Filed under: Home Businesses, Personal Development | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , |

Where do goals originate? Does having a thought or a day dream constitute a goal? Many go through life never really setting any goals and just wander aimlessly through life waiting for some unseen force or God to provide for them. It’s such a shame to see so much wasted talent.

DecisionsI’ve heard people whine and complain about not having any good fortune and even blame higher forces for not providing for them. Yet they never seem to take responsibility for their own lives. It’s never their own fault, always some other person or circumstance. Did they ever even shoot for something? Did they ever set a goal? Was it not them making the decisions in their life?

Setting goals really boils down to making a decision, that’s where a simple thought becomes a goal. So are all decisions goals? No, we may decide to butter our toast or wear a particular pair of jeans, and although those decisions could play some part in the Universes grand scheme they are not goals.

Good goals are plans or intentions that make our palms sweat, make us nervous or give us butterflies when we think of them. When we allow ourselves to dream big and truly consider that anything is possible, we set in motion a series of events that can change our lives. This is our way of getting clear on what it is we really want. Once we’re clear on what it is we want and can see it in our mind, then we start to make decisions based on getting to that outcome. As we continually re-affirm to ourselves that we can have it and can make it happen or even better, that it is already in the process of coming to our present reality, then we start acting in such a way that will bring about those results.

Lets look at making money. Most people believe that the only way they can make money is to have a job. So they find a job and go to work every day and put in their hours in exchange for a paycheck. They have a limiting belief that it is the only way to make money and because they don’t see an obvious alternative they just accept it and so it is their current reality and remains that way until they decide to change or other circumstances pop up, usually making it worse.

Then there’s the 3% of people who know the true secret, that they can have anything they put their minds to. They “decide” they are going to find another way to make money. When they believe this with all their hearts and persist without exception they start to see results. They may get a great idea for a business or an invention, they may find a business opportunity or a stock tip to invest in. They may even discover they have a talent for something and turn that into a lucrative endeavor such a singing, painting or computer skills. The history books are filled with thousands of such people. The proof is all around us, without these people we’d still be living in caves and hunting with out bare hands and rocks. It took visionaries and people committed to their dreams and goals to create the inventions, pass laws, entertain, compete in sports and so on.

The point I’m making here is that we all have the ability to think and we all have talents, skills, and dreams that we can use. Only through deciding to set a goal or intention will we ever make progress. I realized after 20 years in the corporate world as a drone that I had talents and a creative mind that could be put to better use. I saw all kinds of other people having success with a home business which meant so could I if I intended it. So I did, I made it my goal to get successful with my own business working from home because I wanted to be with my family more. It was not just as easy as imagining it but once I belived it, things started to line up and before I knew it I was actually doing it. I released myself from my job and now enjoy the life I always dreamed about, home everyday, free to do whatever I want and enjoying every minute of it while making a lot more income than I ever could have made working a job.

The point is, how will you ever know if you are getting closer or further away from what you want unless you set a benchmark, a goal or intention? We are all capable of so much more, it’s up to us to make it a reality and it starts with goals. Dream big!

It Really Is About How Much

Posted on July 22, 2009. Filed under: Home Businesses, Personal Development | Tags: , , , , , , , , , |

It’s never really about how much money we make or how many things we accumulate, it’s about how much joy we create and how much fun we’re having in life.

Joy of abundanceSeems that people feel that it’s always about the money. There are some who will say, they know it’s not about the riches but about how they feel. They are in part correct, yet feelings of happiness come from within. It took me a while to wrap my mind around this one. If happiness does not come from the object or experience then why have them? Why want them? If happiness comes from within we should be able to just create it on a whim. Well, unless you have a very disciplined mind and can create those emotions on demand you’ll likely give it a try and find yourself right back to wanting things or events to seemingly create those feelings for you.

I’ve spent many years looking for answers to these questions and there are thousands if not more answers, although not all are saying the same thing. Some philosophies say give up all material possessions, while others say it’s good to have wealth for example because you were meant to grow to your fullest potential and using tools like money is a way to express your fullest growth. Still others will say that with wealth you can help far more people less fortunate than if you were poor. You see many of these sound right and yet they do conflict with one another.

I’ll be the first to admit to wanting nice things like a big house, fancy car, exotic vacations, unlimited shopping sprees, basically enjoy the finer things and experiences. I’ve also wanted to start a youth center to help teens find direction in their lives and open schools in poor countries or even just go help struggling communities in Africa or South America – be of service to others. How can I have both?

On my personal journey of growth and my quest for answers I have found that there are many more people out there that think as I do. There are entire communities of people that are devoted to personal growth and serving others while they have set goals of abundance and prosperity. I’ve learned that it’s really not about the attainment of a goal or the end result but rather the journey. If you are having fun doing what you are doing and you are not hurting anyone in the process then it’s likely good.

I run a business that basically allows me to show people how to create a better lifestyle, one that can allow them more time to spend with their family or perhaps follow their passions such as art, music or travel. I show them how to generate an income that far exceeds a typical job so that they have more options. If they choose to use it to buy things and that makes them feel good, great! If they are more inclined to donate it to charity or become philanthropists – so be it. The point is I mainly teach them how to ignite the passion within others to grow and succeed so that they too can pass on the teachings and help others. Making a multiple six or even seven figure income may be really nice and allow you to have and do a lot of things. However, the inner feeling of knowing that I helped change someones life for the better is a reward that will stay with me for life and I can actually take that feeling with me when my time here is done. In fact I can relive it over and over again in my memories.

Learning to enjoy the journey is something that does take practice and perseverance because it is easy to slip back into old habits of becoming obsessed with the end result. If we continually bring our focus back to feelings of gratitude for what we are being, doing and having then we are living in the present and that’s where the magic really happens. Have fun enjoy life right now. Don’t wait till you have something or become something to say you are allowed to have fun and enjoy it. “Carpe diem” – seize the day!

Too Good To Be A Reality Show

Posted on August 3, 2009. Filed under: Home Businesses, Personal Development | Tags: , , , , , , , , |

bugsHow many people miss out on the chance of a lifetime because they let their fears chase it away. I’ve had countless people say no to a legitimate, simple way to make significant, even huge money from the comfort of home for years doing relatively little work because they have been programmed to react that way. Sounds to good to be true it likely is, yet they don’t question lottery winners.

It’s amazing how many shows there are on television that have people jumping out of planes, walking across tightropes, eating bugs and ready to kill one another on a secluded island just to make a million dollars. But give them a legitimate business that can make them unlimited money for a lifetime without those disgusting tasks and they cower and make excuses like there’s no tomorrow.

Reality shows, what an oxymoron. If they wanted to make a realistic reality show they should take a camera into the average home where parents  are scraping by to make ends meet. Juggling credit cards to make their bill payments and working two or more jobs just to put food on the table. The reasons are a whole other story. The point here is that this is reality for most these days especially when the media blitzes are telling everyone it is because of the bad economy.

The funniest part is there are an abundance of jobs and opportunities to become successful yet most are dismissed because of the rumor mill or limiting beliefs that only 3% will make it in sales or that it takes some special skill to be at the top of any game. This is so totally ridiculous that I have to laugh when people refer to these stats. We have to keep in mind statistics are based on an average of a group ranging from the best to the worst, but it’s still only a small group. It’s not truly representative of the whole society. Sure some will argue that it’s very close yet how can they know? I was never asked. Even if I was they would likely censor my response and never count it in the final tally.

The fact is that we all have the ability to think and to make decisions but we’re also our own worst enemies. We can all have success, it’s merely a matter of finding what works for you and tapping into it. These days many new wave companies are figuring out that if they implement a simple system that works for anyone they have dramatic results rather than the old complicated ways of doing business. The only variable is the individual who will either choose to follow it or choose to reinvent it which accounts for the mixed results. Why do people fear it? Because they don’t understand it and therefore automatically think it must be a scam. The tragedy is that these same people miss out on the real opportunities that could have set them free in exchange for a life at a job of perceived safety and mediocrity.

Hindsight is always clearer, how many of us would  buy Microsoft or even Apple stock if we could go back to when they just emerged? Knowing what we know now? Probably all of us. Yet none of us could have known for sure how they would pan out, but there are some who we label visionaries that took that risk and are now reaping the rewards. It’s time now more than ever that if we’re ever to progress we need to think ahead, outside of the box so to speak.

I never try to convince people this is the way, it’s counterproductive and only leads to frustration. I do ask that people take a bit of time to really consider things with an open mind because you never know, the next chance might be the golden nugget we search our whole lives for.  Ask any successful person out there what would have happened to them had they just chose to believe things at face value when they came across their one idea that made them rich.

You have the power to choose, choose wisely by giving things a chance.

What Color Is Your Magic Pill?

Posted on August 8, 2009. Filed under: Personal Development, Views & Observations | Tags: , , , , , , , , |

How many of us have looked for the magic pill in life? The one thing that if we just had, would suddenly change our whole lives for the better. That one mystical book, inspiring speaker, super diet program, and the list goes on. One of my favorite movies – The Matrix, created such a  visual that it’s a catch phrase now – “The blue pill or the red pill?”

The fact is there is no magical pill or simple solution that will fix your life or create nirvana. Even the movie made the underlying message clear that there is no pill. The choice of a blue pill or a red pill is nothing more than a choice from within. Choose the blue pill and return to your usual life with nothing to look forward to, or choose the red pill and go down the rabbit hole. You have all the answers to your questions deep within your own essence. The challenge is that most people will not devote the time necessary to delve into themselves and search for the answers. So they stay locked in a self-contained state of ignorance and get no where.

In the movie people perceived their lives to be regular and predictable with the odd quirk but otherwise plain, like every other day. When in reality their bodies were nothing more than batteries plugged into a super computer. Existing in a totally unaware state that they were even there and being used as slaves. The twist was being awakened to a new state where one could see and experience the “real reality” of their existence, yet totally open to new possibilities.

When we simply accept life as it is and don’t challenge it we are just batteries or drones running through the motions. It’s those who wake up from their slumber and recognize that they’ve been in essence asleep for all their lives – that go on to achieve amazing feats.

Bluepill_RedpillSome challenges are easily resolved, while others require committed and consistent work that may take time to reach fruition. The question is are you content to live the same way you have been living to date or do you want more? The true meaning of life as I understand it is to grow, expand, evolve and that is done when we expand our awareness and take actions that push us beyond our typical boundaries of comfort.

You really can have anything you want, it’s simply a choice. Sure there’s more to it than just wishing for it, but it starts with a choice to change a behavior or make a decision to take a new path. Perhaps it’s not the most comfortable but then again that’s usually a sign of growth because if it was comfortable it would render the same results.

There are so many people in the world that have achieved greatness and success in so many areas. Most people who are successful would gladly tell you their story and how they got to where they are. Those few that won’t are likely not there for long or are not ideally who you want to follow as there could be more to the picture that is hidden.

The point is there is always a way and we are all capable of greatness, it just takes a desire, inspired action, commitment and a faith that it will in fact happen. I’ve been fortunate enough to have found an entire community of such like-minded people that I surround myself with who have taught me so many valuable lessons that I easily apply to my life and we are definitely seeing results. It can happen for you too, just decide you are ready to have it and seek it out.

Take the red pill, it is far more adventurous and fun – after all life is about living not existing.

Follow Instructions To Have Success

Posted on September 6, 2009. Filed under: Home Businesses, Personal Development | Tags: , , , , , |

Follow Simple Steps

Follow Simple Steps

Ever wonder why some people succeed in life while others tend to never get ahead? Ever tried to bake a new kind of cake without following the directions and wonder why it comes out looking like an alien instead of like the picture? That is because we try to do it our way rather than trusting the others before us who had success or created it. Perhaps it’s ego in that we try to prove we are better and don’t need the instructions.

There is a huge difference between knowing and doing. We all know that we should exercise daily and eat proper foods to have a healthy body, yet how many of us actually do these things? Well those who are healthy and energetic do and those who are lazy and still have the same bodies they’ve always had, do not. The same applies for our finances and business success. The fact of the matter is that in many business ventures and even jobs, we are told exactly what to do to have success, the blueprint is laid out right in front of us. Yet so many fail. Why?  Because they don’t follow it. They think they can do it better, cut corners and achieve the same results in a better way. Perhaps that does work for a very small number of people that actually do have better ideas, yet even those smart individuals will ensure they have  a firm understanding of the basic methods before re-inventing them.

In working with countless entrepreneurs we’ve found there are those who will listen and follow directions with great care and ambition and they do see results. Then there are those who don’t and they constantly wonder why they don’t get results. Often they will blame the system, the products or even the company yet they fail to realize that if others are having success with the same products, same system, same company then the only difference is the individual. It’s not because they necessarily have more skills or experience but simply because the successful people apply themselves and do what it takes to have results following the system. A system that was designed after countless failures and challenges and refined so that the next person does not have to repeat the whole process.

In order to grow and see results we need to step outside our comfort zones. Often we shy away from doing certain things we’re told to do because they make us feel uncomfortable. We don’t want to call contacts, we don’t want to strike up a conversation with strangers, we don’t want to sit down and write emails or articles. OK, don’t but then you can’t expect to get different results than you’ve been getting to date. Anything new feels uncomfortable, but if we know why we’re getting started in a particular business and we keep focused on that, then doing things that are unfamiliar become easier.

Baking a cake is just like a business if you follow the directions of the recipe to the letter the results will be the same every time. Want a beautiful, profitable and easy business follow the leaders before you. Those who have never baked a cake will find very different results if they just do what they think needs to be done without consulting the recipe. Whenever you have a chance to consult with an entrepreneur who is having the results you want then you owe it to yourself to take advantage of following thier advice to the letter.

Success really is a choice, just follw the directions.

Know For Yourself

DVD-disc_on_blackIn today’s age we see more and more gurus and experts, it seems just about everyone is one on every topic humanly imaginable, except us that is. We’ve been influenced to such a degree by books, movies and television shows. One great example is “The Secret”, this was a book and DVD release that delved into the law of attraction. The idea is that everyone ultimately has control over their own lives and circumstances. It starts in the mind as a thought, then as we ponder the thought we decide on whether or not to act on it, thus resulting in action or inaction. Of course there is more to it than that but way too much to explain all here. I’ve been a huge fan and proponent of The Secret and had mixed reviews from many. There are those who love it and practice it, those who liked it but have not done anything to implement the teachings into their lives and then there are those that didn’t like it at all. One common comment I often get is, “it was very Hollywood” and “it looks great in the movie but putting it into practice is another story”. Another feeling is that it seemed to revolve a lot around material things.

I’m very fortunate to be one who has implemented these practices into my everyday life. The results have been remarkable. One of the things I discovered on this path was that there is a ton of knowledge out there and many people who know more than I do. I often ran into situations where I didn’t know who to believe. I realized that ultimately I do have many of the answers within me I just need to tap into them in my own way, it’s different for everyone.

One of my goals was to be able to be free to live a life of purpose without having to work a job. To be able to be home and do what I want when I wanted to. To be able to travel, go for a motorcycle ride whenever I felt like it and just enjoy life. I knew there was a way even if I was not currently aware of it. I used the law of attraction to bring about an answer and sure enough it came to me. I found an opportunity that allowed me to start my own business where I could work from home, have the flexible hours to spend with my family. It gives me the ability to make more money in a single month than most working people make in an entire year and it has meaning and purpose. The best part is I get to show others how to do the same. I enjoy interacting with like minded people and show them what I’ve learned, not because I’m a guru but rather because I have experienced it and continue to do so daily. I truly enjoy showing people just how easy it really is.

One of the best perks about this business was the products – they’re all about growing yourself and empowering you to do whatever your heart desires. It’s not telling anyone how to think or what they “have ” to do, but rather encourages people to think for themselves – hence the title “Know For yourself”, by Polaris Media Group. This full length DVD is packed with insightful tips, knowledge and fun. There are countless stories of real people experiencing real success in following their dreams. Unlike the secret, these are not actors and are not all millionaires or super stars, although many of them are on their way to it. It’s a refreshingly real documentary like film that gets to the heart of what is holding us back from having success in any area of our lives? It shows us how to reflect on these limits and go beyond them.

I found it so miraculous that I’ve used it to remold my life according to my dreams instead of what society tells me to do or expects of me. The truth is that we don’t need gurus, we don’t need to follow the herd, we are each unique on this planet, we each have something to offer the world, that already rests inside us, we only need uncover it and use it.

If you’d like to know more visit http://www.KnowForYourself.com you can see clips of the film and get a taste. You can even get a discount by using the coupon code 132491. This is just one of those things you want to stand on top of the highest building and shout it to the world, “watch this movie it will change your life forever”.
